App of the Month – March 2014: CyberGhost
This month’s app has proved of great use to us at Cyber Sushi Design, as we check how well we have improved website rankings through our SEO work. In a nutshell, CyberGhost is a tool with many uses, but fundamentally for us, one that enables the checking of your true website ranking, as it avoids the caching of your frequently returned results.
Additional benefits include the ability for you to surf the web anonymously by hiding your IP address and the protection of your private information, through strong encryption, when you connect to public Wifi networks – helping you avoid being hacked.
Not only that, but if you’re blocked from using your favourite sites in the workplace, CyberGhost will allow you access to blocked content and censored websites – we know a few Facebook addicts making the most of this feature during working hours!!
The CyberGhost app is available to download for free from the app store or from the CyberGhost site; it can be downloaded for Mac, PC and iPhone and allows you to connect to 290 servers in 23 countries. An Android version is currently being finalised, with the CyberGhost team currently looking for beta testers.
