When it comes to power banks they generally fall into one of two categories, big and powerful or small and not so powerful with very few output ports. BUT Aukey may have just changed the game with their new 20000mAh power bank.
On opening the box we cannot believe just how slim this power bank is, having owned and reviewed a number of power banks in the past this is much slimmer than others on the market.
Ports, ports and more ports!
Even though this is without a doubt the thinnest power bank we have reviewed it still manages to squeeze in loads of ports! Not only can it be charged up using a micro USB cable (fairly cheap and standard these days), it also features Apple’s lightning port, which is a rare welcomed addition, plus the new standard USB-C port.
The advantage of all these ports means that not only can a user charge their Apple or Android device using their standard device cable, they also have the ability to recharge the power bank itself using the same cable. This means there is no need to carry two cables around.
Charge, charge and charge again
To most users, the mAh number doesn’t mean an awful lot, which is why it’s really useful that on the Amazon product page Aukey breaks it down into easy to understand terms. In real-world terms all users really care about is the number of times a power bank can fully recharge their device. For example, iPhone 7 – 6.8 times, or 9.7-inch iPad Pro – 1.8 times, or Samsung Galaxy Note 8 – 4 times.
Always know what you have left
It’s almost so small you could miss it; the Aukey power bank also features an LED indicator that shows remaining battery level at a glance. At any point, you can easily check how much juice you have left.
We can highly recommend this power bank with its slimline form factor, and versatile choice of ports. You will struggle to find another 20,000 mAh power bank on the market with this many ports, let alone one this slim. At the time of this review, the power bank is priced at £34.99 and you can find out more information about the product here.
